Dissolved Oxygen Transmitter

11. Maintenance

The Oxix
sensor requires no maintenance as such. It may, however, be
®
cleaned on a regular basis to maintain its maximum accuracy.
In very slimy environments the built-in water or air jet function may be used
with advantage.
Clean the transmitter for example once a month to begin with, until an optimal
cleaning interval can be determined.

Cleaning the sensor

1. Remove the Oxix
2. Clean the sensor with a soft, moist cloth and clean water. A mild detergent
or dishwashing liquid may be used.
Warning: The accuracy will deteriorate, or be completely ruined
at the worst, if the measuring optic element is scratched by
for example the use of a steel brush during cleaning.
3. Dry the sensor with a soft cloth.
4. Immerse the Oxix
least 15 minutes to stabilize the reading.
5. The cleaning intervals may need to be shortened or extended, all depend-
ing on the usage, the liquid composition and the location.

®
ice menu option "Sensor calibration". This option is read-only. In the unlikely
event that the unit fall out of calibration, an MJK serviceperson must be called
to fix or re-calibrate the transmitter.
