When using a bacterial filter or HME

NOTE
When using a bacterial filter or HME, measured
flows may deviate from the expiratory flows, as
temperature and humidity of the gas are reduced.
Connect the bacterial filter or HME to the angled
connector.
WARNING
HME and bacterial filters increase the
exhalation resistance and dead space volume
of the ventilation system.

Hose connections

1 Connect the ventilation hose (A) to the
breathing valve.
2 Connect the flow measuring hoses (B) to the
nozzles on the flow sensor. Note the different
diameters.

WARNING
Do not use electrically conductive hoses!
Risk of electric shock.
This can endanger the patient.
3 Connect the flow measuring (A) hoses to the
Oxylog 3000.
4 Connect the ventilation hose (B) to the gas
outlet on the Oxylog 3000.
