hot appliance. Only use dry oven
gloves or potholders. Wet textiles are
better heat conductors and can cause
steam burns.
Always switch off the hob completely
after use! Never rely solely on the au-
tomatic pot recognition.
Always switch off the cooking zone/
area yourself if you wish to stop a
cooking process. Cancelling the cook-
ing time limit does not end the cook-
ing process itself.
Do not leave the hob unattended
during use.
Children aged 8 years or younger
must be kept away from the device,
unless they are under constant super-
vision.
Do not place any metal objects such
as cutlery and lids on the hob, be-
cause these will also heat up and may
cause burns.
Never sit on the hob.
Allow the cooking zones to cool com-
pletely before cleaning.
Exception: Remove sugary or starchy
contaminants, plastic or aluminium
foil from the hot glass ceramic im-
mediately using a standard sharp
blade scraper. While doing so, protect
hands from burns with oven gloves or
potholders.
Health hazard!
Acrylamide may be carcinogenic.
Acrylamide is produced when starch is
exposed to excessive heat, e.g. in pota-
toes (fries, chips), biscuits, toast, bread
etc.
Keep cooking times as short as pos-
sible.
Only brown the food slightly, do not
allow it to brown too much.
When frying potatoes using raw po-
tato discs or frying potato fritters in
a frying pan, it is better to use mar-
garine (with a minimum fat content
of 80 %) or oil with a little margarine
instead of pure oil.
The hob generates a magnetic fi eld
that could disrupt medical implants.
Ask your doctor about the effects on
implants e.g. pacemakers or defi bril-
lators.
Risk of injury!
This hob has sharp edges. You may cut
yourself if you do not take due care.
Wear protective gloves when unpack-
ing and installing the hob.

Risk of damage from improper installa-
tion of the appliance.
Insuffi cient air circulation may lead to
damage caused by overheating.
Never fi t the hob over an oven with-
out ventilation!
Risk due to improper operation!
Improper handling of the appliance
may result in damage.
Do not operate the cooking zones/
areas with empty and/or incorrect
cooking pots.
Do not allow objects to fall onto the
glass ceramic. Even small objects may
