Safety locking mechanism

Your hob is equipped with a safety locking
mechanism which protects from inadvertent
or unauthorised use of the hob.
Activating the safety locking
mechanism
1. Switch the hob on using the On/Off sen-
sor (9).
2. Set the cooking zones/areas and, if appli-
cable, the timer, as desired.
3. Touch the safety locking mechanism sen-
sor (10).

Lo
In the display next to the timer sensor (13)
'Lo' will appear. All sensors are now deac-
tivated except the On/Off sensor (9).
The hob can be switched off even if the
safety locking mechanism is activated.
You must, however, then deactivate the safe-
ty locking mechanism before the next use.
Deactivating the safety lock
1. Ensure that the hob is switched on.
'Lo' will appear in the timer sensor dis-
play (13).
2. Touch and hold the safety locking mech-
anism sensor (10) for about three sec-
onds.
The display 'Lo' will be replaced by '--'.
Now you will once again be able to use all
of the sensors on the hob.
