Cooking zones and sensors
The hob has four cooking zones.

The hob is controlled using sensors.
Notice: Each time a sensor is touched, an
acoustic signal can be heard.
Correct operation of the
sensors
The sensors are very sensitive and even re-
act if your fingers come into close proximity
with them. You can therefore find some tips
on correct sensor operation here.
• Only ever touch one sensor.
• When touching a sensor, do not apply any
pressure.
• When touching the sensors, only use the
entire fingertip and not just the very end
of the fingertip.
• Ensure that none of the sensors are cov-
ered (e.g. by a potholder).

Risk of burns!

the parts which you can touch may be-
come hot. You must take care in order

of 8 are kept out of contact with the
glass ceramic hob unless they are un-
der constant supervision.
Do not place crockery or cutlery on
■
the glass ceramic hob. They may heat
up and cause burns.
Even once they are switched off, the
■
cooking zones will remain very hot,
which the residual heat indicators will
indicate with an 'X'.
Please note that the residual heat in-
■
dicators go out if there is a power cut
and may therefore no longer indicate
residual heat.
1. Touch the sensor 8 to switch the hob on.
The following diodes will illuminate:
within 60 seconds the hob will automatically
switch off.
