9.3.4 CAN charger
The CAN charger essentially serves as a back-up solution
for the radio connection between the measuring platforms
and the computer. In addition, it offers the advantage that
the platforms are supplied with power during the
measurement, ensuring the accumulator capacity is not
exploited. To do this, connect the measuring platforms to
the CAN charger via the communication and charging
jack. Subsequently connect the CAN charger to the
computer using a USB cable. And finally, select the CAN
charger in the system configuration. The name in the
interface can be found via the USB connection. Use the
„Start CAN" button to establish the connection to the
platforms. The status LEDs in the cover of the charger
now indicate whether all measuring platforms are
connected via CAN and whether the communication is
working.
