If possible, avoid laying long cables and make sure that they are installed in areas being subject to low interference.
Short description Control contacts also available as crimp-type connection as an option. SD version. For power and control cable connection, remove the AUMA plug/socket connector and the socket carrier from terminal compartment. Removing the cover is sufficient for connecting the fieldbus cables.

For loop redundancy, automatic termination is performed as soon as actuator controls are connected to the power supply. When interrupting the power supply, e.g. after removing the AUMA plug/socket connector, both RS-485 loop segments are automatically connected to each other.

The permissible cable length between actuator controls on wall bracket and the actuator amounts to 100 m maximum. We recommend using an AUMA “LSW” cable set . If the AUMA cable set is not used: Use suitable flexible and screened connecting cables.

Motor connection/motor control Feedback signals from actuator For actuators with high nominal motor current (AUMA power class switchgear from category A4), a control box is required. Switchgear (reversing contactors) will then be installed in the control box and not within the actuator controls. The control box is mounted separately on a wall.
