3. For each riser you are installing, remove a filler from the target slot. See Figure 31.
Note: Unused memory riser slots must contain a filler to ensure proper cooling.

4. To install memory DIMMs into the slots on the memory riser, complete the following steps:
a. Push the locking tabs to the open position, away from the slot, in the direction shown in Figure 32
on page 24.
