System board jumper settings

CAUTION:
Be careful when altering BIOS settings. The BIOS interface is designed for advanced users, you can change a
setting that could prevent your computer from starting correctly and you could suffer a potential loss of data.
1. Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet.
2. Remove the system cover.
3. Move the jumper on the system board jumper from pins 3 and 5 to pins 1 and 3 and wait approximately 10 seconds.
4. Replace the jumper plug on pins 3 and 5.
5. Install the system cover. Reconnect the system to its electrical outlet and turn on the system, including any attached peripherals.

Disabling a forgotten password

The system's software security features include a system password and a setup password. The password jumper enables these password
features or disables them and clears any password(s) currently in use.

Steps
1. Turn off the system, including any attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the electrical outlet.
2. Remove the system cover.
3. Move the jumper on the system board jumper from pins 4 and 6 to pins 2 and 4.
4. Install the system cover.

Description
The BIOS password feature is enabled.
The BIOS password feature is disabled. iDRAC local access is unlocked at next AC power cycle.

The BIOS configuration settings are cleared at system boot.
