Tape out
NetBackup appliance supports backups to tape so that you can connect one or
more tape libraries to them with FC. An FC host bus adapter (HBA) provides for
connection to a TLD tape storage device.

NetBackup Fibre Transport is a method of data transfer. It uses Fibre Channel and
a subset of the SCSI command protocol for data movement over a SAN rather than
TCP/IP over a LAN. It provides a high-performance transport mechanism for the
following scenarios:
Backup and restore between NetBackup clients and NetBackup media servers

Optimized duplication and Auto Image Replication between NetBackup media
