Manually Configuring the Wireless Access Point (WAP)

1.
Connect your computer and the Picostation that will be the Wireless Access Point (WAP) to the switch
2.
Load the Ubiquiti Discovery tool, scan for the connected Picostation. Once found, double click on the Picostation, select
the IP address which isn't 192.168.1.20 and click the Web UI button
3.
The logon screen is then displayed in your web browser. Login using the following credentials:
Username – ubnt
Password – ubnt

Click on the Wireless tab and enter the following information:
Wireless Mode
SSID
Country Code
Security
WEP Key
5.
Click on the Network tab and enter the following information:
IP Address
Netmask
Gateway IP
Primary DNS IP
6.
Click on the Change button at the bottom of the screen
7.
Disconnect the WAP and the computer from the switch, wait 10 seconds for your computer to lose its network
connection, and then reconnect both
8.
Load the Ubiquiti Discovery tool, scan for the connected Picostation. Once found, double click on the Picostation, select
the IP address which should now be 10.10.10.2 and click the Web UI button
9.
The logon screen is then displayed in your web browser. Login using the following credentials:
Username – ubnt
Password – ubnt
10.
Click on the System tab and enter the following information:
Device Name
Administrator Username
Current Password
New Password
Verify New Password
11.
Click the change button
The Wireless Access Point (WAP) has now been configured; they can be re-configured using the files installed on the tablet PC
