5 Scope of Delivery and Accessories

5.1 Scope of Delivery

1 pc. 40X183 wireless adapter cable

5.2 Accessories
To operate the 60X7 BionicLink you need the 60X5 BionicLink PC, in order to provide the com­
puter with Bluetooth technology.
The use of Bluetooth components from other manufacturers is not supported by Ottobock.

6 Preparation for Use

6.1 Preparing the BionicLink
The following steps only need to be carried out during first-time use.
1) Insert the wireless adapter cable plug into the BionicLink.
INFORMATION: The plug does not need to be removed again.
2) Insert the proper side of the hook-and-loop strap into the slots on the back of the BionicLink
(see Fig. 1).
6.2 Attaching the BionicLink
1) Open the plug cover on the joint module (see Fig. 2).
2) Attach the wireless adapter cable plug to the lower socket on the joint module (see Fig. 3).
INFORMATION: Observe the plug direction.
→ The blue LED on the BionicLink has to light up. If it does not, charge the orthosis battery
or check the connecting cable.
3) Loop the free end of the hook-and-loop strap around the joint module, thread it through the
plastic ring and pull it tight (BionicLink C-Brace A5).

7 Initial Operation

1) Establish the connection between the BionicLink PC and the computer.
2) Launch the adjustment software on the computer (C-Soft version 2.6 or later).
3) Start the connection process in C-Soft.
4) The adjustments can be performed now.
INFORMATION: The orthosis wearer must stand or sit comfortably and calmly during
the adjustment.
→ During data transfer the blue LED on the BionicLink flashes.
INFORMATION
The range of the Bluetooth connection is around 10 metres, but this can vary depending on local
conditions. The orthosis should not be taken outside of this range while it is connected.
INFORMATION
If the orthosis is outside the transmitter's range or if the transmission path is shadowed (e.g. by
steel or reinforced concrete), the connection may be interrupted. This will be indicated by the
warning "Transmission interrupted" on the computer.
