Safety information
Danger to life if the fundamental safety instructions and remaining risks are not carefully
observed
If the fundamental safety instructions and remaining risks in Chapter 1 (Page 21) are not
observed, accidents involving severe injuries or death may occur.
• Adhere to the fundamental safety instructions.
• When assessing the risk, take into account residual risks.
Danger to life due to malfunctions caused by conductive foreign matter
Foreign matter in the enclosure can cause the devices to malfunction. In turn, this affects
the functional safety of machines and can therefore put people in danger or lead to material
damage.
• Cover the ventilation slots during installation of the control cabinet to prevent drill swarf,
• Observe the safety regulations with regard to the touch protection. See also EN 60204-

Malfunctions and damage due to static discharge
If static discharge occurs on surfaces or interfaces that cannot be easily accessed, this can
cause malfunctions and/or defects.
• Only touch components, modules and devices if you are first grounded by applying one
