Setting Network Parameters

The types of network parameters include IP address, subnet mask and multicast
address. The registered parameters can be downloaded to an Ethernet unit as
described below.
Preparations on the Ethernet Unit Side
Connect the Engineering Tool to the serial communication port (TOOL) of the Ethernet
unit with an RS-232C cable.
Then, set data to confirm the Transmission Parameter Setting window from the serial
communication port (TOOL).
First, start the Configuration Editor [Hardware Configuration for Controller A to open the
Hardware Configuration window where the hardware configuration of Controller A is
registered. Select [EN531], and execute [Edit (E)] and [Set Parameters (P)], then the
following window is displayed. Click [Tool and Ether Card (B)], then the network
information stored in the Ethernet unit is displayed through the serial communication port
(TOOL).

Setting multicast addresses

Set multicast addresses in the procedures shown below.
(1) In setting multicast addresses, set the number of multicast addresses to be
registered in the item No. of multicast addresses to register (in this case, the number
is 1).
(2) Register multicast IP addresses.
Up to 15 addresses ranging from 225.224.0.1 to 225.224.0.15 can be set (in this
case 225.224.0.1).
Register multicast addresses from the top downward.
