Procedure
1. On the ASMI Welcome pane, specify your user ID and password, and click Log In.
2. In the navigation area, expand System Configuration > Service Indicators > Indicators by Location
code.
3. In the Location code field, type the location code of the FRU and click Continue.
4. From the Identify indicator status list, select Off.
5. Click Save settings.

About this task
You can turn off the identify indicators in each enclosure.
To complete this operation, your authority level must be one of the following levels:
v Administrator
v Authorized service provider
Procedure
1. On the ASMI Welcome pane, specify your user ID and password, and click Log In.
2. In the navigation area, expand System Configuration > Service Indicators > Enclosure Indicators.
All servers and enclosures managed by the ASMI will be displayed.
3. Select the server or enclosure that has the part to be replaced and click Continue. The location code
identifiers are listed.
4. Select the location code identifier and select Off.
5. To save the changes made to the state of one or more FRU indicators, click Save settings.
Deactivating a check log indicator (system information indicator) by using the
ASMI
You can deactivate a check log indicator (system information indicator) or logical partition check log
indicator by using the ASMI.
About this task
The check log indicator provides a visual signal that the system as a whole requires attention or service.
Each system has a single check log indicator. When an event occurs that either needs your intervention or
that of service and support, the check log indicator lights continuously. The check log indicator is turned
on when an entry is made in the error log of the service processor. The error entry is transmitted to the
error log file of the system and to the error log file of the operating system.
To complete this operation, your authority level must be one of the following levels:
