6. Firmware Upgrade

6.5.2. Before Starting the Upgrade

ATTENTION! While the firmware is being upgraded, the normal
operation mode is suspended as the device is switched to bootload
mode. Signal processing is not performed. Do not interrupt the
firmware upgrade. If any problem occurs, reboot the device and
restart the process.
ATTENTION!
LFPpackagescannotbeusedwiththeLDU2software.

INFO: The settings and parameters (e.g. User EDID memory) will
notbelostbyupgradingthefirmware.

6.5.3. Firmware Upgrading Steps

Step 1. Connect the computer to the same network as the VINX devices
arelocated.RuntheLDU2software.Thediscoveredandknown
devices are being loaded.
Step 2. Select the firmware package file (*.lfp2).Whenthefileisselected
the release note is displayed in the right window. Please read
it carefully.
Step 3. Press the Open button. The listed devices – which are
compatiblewiththefirmwarepack–arefilteredautomatically
in the main screen.
Step 4. Select the desired devices and press the Start Update button.
The upgrade takes about 10-12 minutes to finish which is
independent of the number of the upgraded devices since the
upgrades are processed simultaneously.
The devices are rebooted automatically when the upgrade is
finished.
