Procedure M7-2: PRV Sensor Calibration Procedure:
1) Insure the liquid sensor is properly positioned in facing the PRV discharge tube of
the heating unit. The sensor face should be about 3.5mm (0.125-inch) away from
the tube.
2) Using a small flat blade screwdriver, turn the sensor adjustment potentiometer on
the back of the sensor clockwise until the red LED on the sensor illuminates.
3) Once the red LED illuminates, turn the adjustment potentiometer counterclockwise
until the LED on the sensor turns off. Then turn the adjustment potentiometer an
additional ¼ turn counterclockwise, verifying the LED does not illuminate.
4) Repeat the inspection procedure above. If the sensor again fails to trip and/or reset
from alarm mode, repeat the calibration procedure or replace the sensor.
