Troubleshooting Quality of Service
can be: 1. Network unreachable. The destination may not be reachable. 2. Any of the two
nodes is congested and drops the packets. 3. Packets get delayed and reach the source only
after time-out period.
Prerequisite: SLA profile has to be successfully configured and scheduled.
Troubleshooting tips:
• Make sure that the destination is reachable. Ping to the destination and verify whether it
is reachable.
• If the network is congested with heavy traffic, schedule the SLA after some time.
• If CBQ or any other features that can induce delay is enabled between the nodes, then
disable that feature and reschedule the SLA profile.
Historical statistics
Statistics are not uploaded
Symptom: Historical statistics are not uploaded in the FTP server.
Problem description: The statistics that are collected for QoS on all the interfaces can be
uploaded to a file server through historical statistics. To enable this feature some of the
configurations like FTP server IP address, FTP username and password, and upload interval.
The reasons for historical statistics not being uploaded are: a. Historical statistics is not
enabled. By default historical statistics upload is not enabled. It has to be manually enabled
by "upload" command. b. FTP parameters are not configured. The IP address of FTP server
to which the statistics should be uploaded has to be configured. c. FTP server is not reachable
or FTP username password is not valid.
Prerequisite: Historical statistics configured
Troubleshooting tips:
• Configure the upload interval and enable uploading historical statistics:
Router/configure/qos/chassis/historical-stats# upload interval 1
Uploading of Historical Statistics enabled Upload interval set to
1 hours
• Configure the FTP parameters.
