To access the battery to charge a Moto Guzzi California:

1. Make sure the ignition switch is in the "OFF" position.
2. Remove the seat using the key lock on the left side of the bike.
3. Remove the left side cover by unscrewing the two large hex socket screws.
4. You can now access the battery terminals to connect a charger or maintainer.
