Storage Concept

CamDisc HNVR allows digital recording of up to 4 or 10 camera signals. The multi-track recording process
developed by HeiTel allows hard disk storage capacity to be adjusted individually for each camera.
Advantages of the multi-track recording process
Hard disk storage capacity is optimised.
l
The recording period is specified for each individual camera track.
l
The logical division of the hard disk prevents mutual overwriting of archived image data.
l
For event-triggered recording pre-alarm and post-alarm sequences can be recorded for individual events.
l
An optional warning by relay is issued when the adjustable storage warning threshold is reached.
l
Each camera track can be configured with overwrite protection on overrun, or for automatic overwriting.
l
Camera tracks
The CamDisc HNVR hard disk is divided into 4 or 10 camera tracks. This allows you to specify the storage
space for each individual camera track. Storage capacity is displayed in GB.
The illustration shows identical partitioning (factory setting) for each of the 10 camera tracks of a CamDisc
VG 10 hard disk. The required storage capacity is based on average picture size, recording mode, recording
speed, and recording duration. Set the partition size using the sliding bar. No images are recorded on a camera
track when the storage capacity is set to 0%.
Note:
The archive is reformatted when the track storage capacity is changed. All images recorded up to
this point will be irretrievably deleted.
