10.4 Field replacement of an ILite tile mounted in a first generation rental structure

ARNING
a tile is forbidden. Only a solid scaffold or a Z-lift is allowed.
Necessary tools
•
10 mm nut driver.
•
Slot screw driver (100 x 4 mm).
How to replace an ILite tile in a LED-wall ?
1. Reed and heed the servicing safety instructions page 78.
2. Disconnect the power cable from the ILite tile.
3. Do you want to replace the tile while the other tiles in the LED-wall still running (hot swap) ?
If yes, leave the data cables into the data ports of the re-sync unit and remove the re-sync unit from the tile by releasing the two
captive screws of the re-sync unit using a slot screw driver.
If no, unplug the data cables from the data ports of the re-sync unit.
4. Remove the two nuts at the rear top and the two bolts at the rear bottom of the ILite rental tile as illustrated. Use a 10 mm nut
driver.
Caution:
Hold the ILite tile firmly by one of the carrying handles to prevent the tile falls out of the LED-wall.

5. Remove the tile out of the LED-wall with next movements:
a) Grab the tile with both hands by the handles and push the tile forward out of the LED-wall.
b) Rotate the tile diagonally 45°.
c) Pull the tile gently diagonally back through the opening.
Caution:
Be careful not to damage the mask, of the LED modules at the front of the tile, while removing the tile.
