• Please follow all recommended torque values.
• Use the 'Patient Information' section of this pamphlet (section
5) to inform your patient about the function and use of the Mo-
voWrist Flex.
Please avoid exposing prosthetic components to corrosive ele-
ments such as fresh water, salt water, and acids. Using this me-
dical product under such conditions will render all claims against
Otto Bock HealthCare null and void.
Please also inform your patient.
5 Patient information
The 10V39=* MovoWrist Flex has been developed for everyday life activi-
ties and must not be used for unusual activities such as extreme sports
(free climbing, parachute jumping, paragliding, etc.). Careful handling of
the prosthesis and its components not only increases the service life of the
product but, above all, ensures the patient's safety. Should the prosthesis
be subjected to unusual stresses (such as a fall), immediately contact your
prosthetist and have the prosthesis inspected for any damage. If neces-
sary, the prosthetist will pass the prosthesis on to the Ottobock Service.
Any damaged components may only be repaired by the Ottobock Service.
Attention!
• Please note that the position of terminal device may change when
you operate the flexion or rotation push buttons unintentionally.
• Please note that the terminal device may open when you operate
the unlock push button unintentionally.
• Before starting work and during work, check the wrist lock for
proper function.
5.1 Operating a motor vehicle
An upper limb amputee's ability to drive a motor vehicle is determined on
a case-by-case basis. Factors include the type of fitting (amputation level,
unilateral or bilateral, residual limb conditions, design of the prosthesis) and
the amputee's abilities. All persons are required to observe their country's
national and state driving laws when operating vehicles. For insurance pur-
