an authorized test center. For maximum safety and convenience, Ottobock
recommends that, at the very least, a specialist evaluate the need for any
adaptations to the car (such as by installing a steering fork).
Caution!
Before starting the car, check the 10V39=* MovoWrist Flex for
proper lock and secure seat.
6 Function
The 10V39=* MovoWrist Flex (fig. 1, item 2) allows for a fitting in conjunc-
tion with an Ottobock system hand or Ottobock cable-activated hook or
another teminal device.
It features flexion and extension settings in different positions. This joint is
also rotatable on the forearm socket in steps of 18°. To allow for an easy
change of the terminal devices in every position, the 10V39=* MovoWrist
Flex is equipped with a quick-release lock.
Three push-buttons are assigned to different functions (fig. 3). These are
used for setting the rotation (1), exchanging system hands or a cable-
activated hook (2) as well as for flexion and extension (3).
The wrist unit is available in two sizes and can be used on both sides:
10V39=45
for forearm socket with inner diameter for wrist unit connec-
tion of 45 mm
10V39=50
for forearm socket with inner diameter for wrist unit connec-
tion of 50mm
6.1 Rotation
The 10V39=* MovoWrist Flex unlocks for rotation by pressing the push button
1 (fig. 3). It can be freely positioned in 20 different engaging points. When
the push button 1 is released in an engaging position, the wrist unit will lock.
6.2 Exchange
The push button 2 (fig. 3) unlocks the wrist unit for exchange of the sys-
tem hands, cable-activated hook or terminal device. The system hand,
hook or terminal device ejection is supported by a spring integrated in the
10A30=* Adapter.
