4. Push the drive carrier module further into the enclosure until the latch handle starts to engage.
5. Continue to push firmly until the latch handle fully engages. You should hear a click as the latch handle engages and holds the handle
closed.

6. Use the ME Storage Manager or CLI to verify the following:
Health of the new disk drive is OK
Green Disk Activity LED is on/blinking
Ops panel states show no amber module faults
Replacing a blank drive carrier module
A blank drive carrier module is removed from the enclosure by pulling the module out of the drive slot.
A blank drive carrier module is installed in the enclosure by properly aligning it and inserting it into the drive slot. The blank drive carrier
module must be pushed into the drive slot to secure it in place.
CAUTION:
To ensure optimal cooling throughout the enclosure, blank drive carrier modules must be installed into all
unused drive slots.
Replacing a disk drive in a drive carrier module
Replacement disk drives are not shipped with a new drive carrier module. The failed disk drive must be removed from its drive carrier
module and the replacement disk drive must be installed in the drive carrier module.
Removing a disk drive from a drive carrier module
A failed disk drive must be removed from its drive carrier module.
1. Remove the screws from the slide rails on the drive carrier module.
2. Lift the disk drive out of the drive carrier module.
