8.1 Environmental declaration
8.1.1 The JK Corporate Group
The JK Corporate Group is subject to the strict directives of EWG 1836/93 and of DIN
ISO 14001 and it is examined by trained auditors in internal audits with reference to the
environment.
The fact that the EU passed the Eco-Audit Ordinance EWG 1836/93 in 1995 prescribed
that the JK Corporate Group set up an environmental management system that was
attested in 1997 with a validation certificate pursuant to the Eco-Audit Ordinance.

8.2 Environmental regulations
8.2.1 Disposing of UV low pressure lampsand batteries
UV low pressure lamps contain luminescents and other waste containing mercury.
Batteries contain heavy-metal compounds.
In conformity with the German regulations governing recycling and waste disposal
(KrWAbfG)
and local waste disposal provisions, UV lamps and batteries must be

disposed of and appropriate certification of disposal must be provided.
Your local sales agency (refer to section 7) will be pleased to help you with the disposal
of UV lamps and batteries:

Inform your local Ergoline agency by telephone or in writing of the number of UV
lamps and batteries you wish to dispose of.

The agency will then inform a waste disposal company to collect the lamps and
dispose of them properly.

The waste disposal company will take care of the storage of certification on your
behalf.
Recycling and waste disposal laws; the national provisions of the operating country must be
