the vertical centerline of the needle

7. To adjust, rotate the balance wheel and
loosen each of the 3 screws (A) holding the
hook in place

5 and set the hook so that the requirements in
step 6 are met.
8. Tighten each of the 3 screws (A) holding
the hook in place. Take care not to disturb the
positioning of the hook. Go back and ensure
each of these 3 screws are secure to ensure
that the timing does not slip during machine
usage.
9. Re-install the feed dog and needle plate
taking care to center (left/right) the feed dog in
the needle plate.
Note: Loosen the most convenient screw to
access last when in the step 6 position. This
one screw can be adjusted alone as timing is
fine tuned. Be certain to tighten all three screws
when the timing is perfect.
