5-4 If a Message Appears

These are the main messages that appear on the
machine's display to prompt correct operation. They
do not indicate any error. Follow the prompts and
take action accordingly.

Messages That Appear on the Printer Control Panel

Only a small amount of ink remains. Replace the cartridge
indicated by the flashing number with a new cartridge.
[PRESS THE POWER KEY TO CLEAN]
This appears when the machine has been unused for about
one month. Switch on the sub power at least once a month.

[SET SOL CRT.]
Insert the ink cartridge indicated by the flashing number.
This message appears at times such as during cartridge re-
placement.
[REMOVE SOL CRT.]
Remove the cleaning cartridge indicated by the flashing
number. This message appears at times such as during head
cleaning.
[SET SOLCL-LIQUID]
Insert the cleaning cartridge indicated by the flashing num-
ber. This message appears at times such as during head
cleaning.
[REMOVE SOL CL]
Remove the cleaning cartridge indicated by the flashing
number. This message appears at times such as during head
cleaning.
[CLOSE THE COVER]
Close the front cover and the right side cover. For safety,
the carriage doe not operate while a cover is open.
[INSTALL DRAIN BOTTLE]
Check whether the drain bottle is installed. Install the drain
bottle, then press
[EMPTY DRAIN BOTTLE]
Detach the drain bottle from the machine, discard the dis-
charged fluid, then reinstall the drain bottle on the machine.
Press
to continue. This message appears before
operations that discharge a large amount of ink.
[TIME FOR MAINTENANCE]
It is time to clean the heads using the cleaning kit. After
verifying, press

[TIME FOR WIPER REPLACE]
It is time to replace the wiper. After verifying, press

Messages That Appear on the Base Control Panel

[Safety sensor responded.]
Remove the object that the touch sensor is reacting to.
If you press [CONTINUE], printing continues.
If you press [PRINT CANCEL], printing is cancelled, and
the screen that appears when printing is finished appears.
This message appears when the safety sensor light is blocked
during operation.
[COORD POS is out of stroke limit.]
Press [PRINT CANCEL]. Check the output data size, and
redo the printing.
This message appears when the output data is larger than
the print area.
[Print position couldn't be detected. Please try again
by using MANUAL SEARCH or NUMERAL INPUT.]
Press [RETURN]. Set the print start position using manual
search or numeral input.
This message appears when the media could not be de-
tected through auto search.
[Now receiving print data. Please set up PRINT
POS.]
Press [RETURN]. Set the print start position and send the
data again.
This message appears when data is sent to the printer when
the print start position has not yet been specified.
