Forced Limited Power Mode
Forced Limited Power Mode is the fifth failure mode.
In the Forced Limited Power Mode, the warning to the driver is:
– Amber wrench or Message Center text ''Engine Failsafe Mode.''
The fail-safe action is:
– Power limited to less than maximum
– Limted engine RPM that can be increased by pressing the accelerator pedal.
– No cruise control.
This failure is due to:
– One TP out of range.
– Two TP's disagree in range.
– MAF out of range.
– OSS out of range.
– TSS Failure.
– CKP out of range.
– Actual Torque exceeds demanded torque.
– When the driver demand is at idle and the throttle plate is not at idle.
