Forced Engine Shut Down Mode
The Forced Engine Shut Down mode is the most critical mode.
In the Forced Engine Shutdown Mode, the warning to the driver is:
– Amber wrench or Message Center text ''Engine Failsafe Mode.''
The fail-safe actions are:
– Fuel injectors shutoff.
– Fuel pump disabled.
– Power is inhibited to ETB motor.
This failure is caused by:
– PCM, RAM or ROM hardware fault.
– E-Quizzer processor RAM, ROM or CPU fault.
– Incompatible or incomplete PCM and E-Quizzer software check.
– If PCM and E-Quizzer communication fails at power-up.
