LESSON 3: POWERTRAIN
Throttle Position (TP) Sensor Check
The Throttle Position (TP) sensor check watches for certain failure modes and stores the appropriate DTC.
•
The following DTCs apply to the throttle position sensor:
DTC
P0122
P0123
P0121
P2135
P0222
P0223
P0221
•
Circuits are monitored and DTCs are set if voltages are above or below voltage values specified in the PCED
manual.
3-26
TP low input (MIL, ETC light, pedal follower with RPM guard)
TP 1 high input (MIL, ETC light, pedal follower with RPM guard)
TP 1 range/performance (non-MIL)
TP 1/TP 2 voltage correlation (ETC light, non-MIL, Pedal Follower Guard)
TP 2 circuit continuity (MIL, ETC light, Pedal Follower with RPM Guard)
TP 2 high input, circuit continuity (MIL, ETC light, Pedal Follower with RPM
TP 2 range/performance (non-MIL)
