UART-Based Protocol (UBP)
The UBP network is a single-wire network that allows inter-module communication. The UBP network will not
operate if shorted to power or ground.
The modules on the UBP network are:

Instrument Cluster (IC)
•
Driver's Seat Module (DSM)
•
Vehicle Security Module (VSM)
– Perimeter alarm has been deleted.
