turn while the threaded portion going through the spring nut
will not turn. This action allows the knife shaft to get longer
and will allow adjustment of the knife shaft dwell gap.
5. Insert the feeler gauge as shown in Figure 15.
6. With the ½" nut loosened and the knife closed, use the 9/16"
wrench to turn the Adjusting Nut clockwise/counter clockwise
to achieve a 0.015" gap as shown in Figure 13.
7. With the feeler gauge removed, you should be able to see the
knife shaft end as shown in Figure 16.
