Troubleshooting

Problem
Machine fails to power up
Stock does not advance
through sonic knife when
printer start button is
pressed
Cut on one side of fabric
only
Not cutting fabric

Probable Cause
Lack of power to machine
Jam in Feed Rollers
Out of level Knife Blade
Fabric not centered on horn
Knife blade not level
Ground Detect "on" too soon
Sonic power supply off
Spring pressure too light
Spring pressure too heavy
Knife dwell setting incorrect
Sonic power supply not triggering
(the bar indicator on the top front
of the power supply should flash
for every cut. If it does not, the
power supply is not being
triggered)

Remedy
Check that both ends of power cord
on printer are securely plugged in.
Confirm that the outlet the printer is
plugged into has power.
Confirm all sonic knife cables are
securely plugged in.
Check Feed Rollers for obstruction
or jam. If necessary - Re-thread
fabric through feed rollers.
Check to see Feed Rollers are
clean.
Check the out feed interlock switch
is closed.
Follow Knife Blade leveling
procedure on page 26
Check all label guides and mounting
brackets to make sure fabric is
centered on horn.
Follow knife blade leveling

Check to make sure home sensor
triggers at top dead center
Make sure sonic power supply is
turned "on".
Check spring pressure setting

Check knife dwell setting procedure
Check the proximity switch
