Setting Up an Elutriation Run

Close the door.
The rotor accelerates to the set speed.
a. If you entered a loading speed other than 2000 RPM, re-enter the run speed after you close
the door.

End the run.
• When the run is complete (the run time has expired, the set 
STOP
• If desired, you may enter a different unloading speed of 3000 RPM or below after the rotor
reaches 2000 RPM.

Open the door and unload the rotor.
DANGER
Never try to slow or stop the rotor by hand.

NOTE
Before another zonal run can be started, you must press the RESET key.
Setting Up an Elutriation Run
Centrifuges equipped for elutriation have elutriation controls as shown in
elutriation power box mounted on the back of the control panel. See the JE-5.0 elutriator rotor
manual (JE5-IM) for complete rotor setup and operating instructions.
