PPENDIX
RS485 bus cabling using DeviceNet® cable and components
have been tested with components from Rockwell and
Woodhead.
DeviceNet cable is well suited for the TT-3000E mini-C
GMDSS System, as it contains 2 individual shielded twisted
pairs as well as an outer shield. The wires are color coded and
should be connected to the TT-3000E mini-C GMDSS System
as shown in Table 21.

The DeviceNet cable sizes are listed in Table 22 (AWG sizes
can vary between manufacturers).

A typical DeviceNet cable cross section is shown in Figure 54.
As high flexibility is needed for the drop lines to the alarm
panels, T&T recommend using thin high flex cable for the
drop lines.
Both Thick and Med DeviceNet cable are suited for the trunk
line.
