5/ PERFORMING UPDATES
A ZIP file provided by Kontron contains firmware updates for MSP-Node firmware components.

5.1. ONECLICK UPDATE FOR AN MSP-NODE

To update the firmware of the MSP-
SMWI
Dashboard > OneClick Upgrade
Click on advanced settings
Select the target platform from the dropdown list
Select the target MSP-Node from the dropdown list
Click on bundle settings
Click on CHANGE BUNDLE FILE
Select the proper .zip file
Click on Open
Wait for the transfer to finish
Click on START UPGRADE

Notes
This operation must be repeated for all MSP-Nodes

5.2. ONECLICK UPDATE FOR A SYSTEM (ALL COMPONENTS)

To update the firmware of the BMC, BIOS and FPGA of all system components:
SMWI
Dashboard > OneClick Upgrade
Click on bundle settings
Click on CHANGE BUNDLE FILE
Select the proper .zip file
Click on Open
Wait for the transfer to finish
Click on START UPGRADE
API calls available to update a system
Notes
The update will be performed only for components with
firmware files included in the OneClick Upgrade bundle.
BMC, BIOS and FPGA:
Computer command prompt
To update all updatable firmware of the MSP-Node
ipmitool H
upgrade <HPM file> all activate
The IPMI command to update the BIOS firmware
upgrades both servers.
