Caution
Modification to the signal states and parameters with the
handheld can trigger dangerous movements of the con
nected actuators.
If the current settings are not known, you should first
create a clear starting status before proceeding as de
scribed here (see section 4.7.3).
Proceed as follows:
1. Switch to the main menu and select the module, the
signal states of which you wish to modify (here mod
ule 3: 8DI/8DO).
2. Select command [Fail safe (F)].
The current signal states (process state) of the selected
module will then be displayed.
Example: Single−bit operands
Modules with single−bit operands can have several O−
bytes. With digital modules the abbreviations have the
following meanings:
O:00..07: output 00 to output 07 etc.
The currently selected O−byte is marked.
Example: Multi−bit operands
Modules with multi−bit operands can have several multi−
bit operands. With analogue modules the abbreviations
have the following meanings:
Output CH 0"
Output CH 1"
The current value will be shown after the channel
number. The currently selected operand will be shown
marked.
3. If necessary, select the desired O−byte or multi−bit oper
and with V and v.
: Output channel 0
: Output channel 1 etc.
