In order to use the handheld, you must have detailed knowl
edge of the functions and features of the connected device
and of the relevant machine/system. During commissioning,
the safety instructions listed in this manual as well as in the
documentation for the relevant product must be observed at
all times.
The user must ensure that nobody has access to the position
ing range of the connected actuators. The danger area must
be made inaccessible by means of suitable measures such as
protective screening and warning signs.
When write access for the handheld is enabled, dangerous
movements may be triggered as a result of the modification
of signal states (see also section 4.2.3).
Please note
Activate the password protection in order to prevent the
write access from being enabled unintentionally by un
authorized third parties (see section 4.2.4).
Warning
Modification to the signal states and parameters with the
handheld can trigger dangerous movements of the con
nected actuators.
Make sure that nobody is in the positioning range of the

connected actuators and be very careful with the
parametrizing and the manipulation of signal states.
Caution
If you enable write access for the handheld after a System
Start without existing field bus connection, the Fail−safe
status (field bus communication fault) will become active.
Note that all outputs will then assume the signal status
·
defined by Fail safe (pre−setting: reset all outputs).
