If the current Fail−safe settings are not known, you should first
create a clear starting status (see section 4.7.1). The follow
ing sequence of activities describes how to set the system
parameter Fail−safe to Reset outputs (factory setting) and
how to delete the relevant channel−specific settings of all
modules.
1. Select any module in the main menu (here module 3:
8DI/8DO).
2. Select command [Fail safe (F)].
The current signal states (process state) of the outputs
of the selected module will then be displayed.
Example:
You can now access the command Fail safe" with the
right−hand function button.
3. Press function button [Fail safe].
The status of the system parameter will now be shown in
the second line. Meaning:
Reset outputs" :
Hold last state" :
Assume fault mode" :
Example:
F" for Fail−safe is shown in the header line after the
module identifier.
