4.6.1 Important notes on Forcing

Warning
Modification to the signal states and parameters with the
handheld can trigger dangerous movements of the con
nected actuators. Depending on the current state of the
machine/system this may cause serious injury to human
beings or damage to property.
You must observe the following instructions in order to
prevent such dangers and damage.
Make sure that nobody can enter the positioning range of

the connected actuators.
Be very careful when parametrizing or manipulating sig
·
nal states and manipulate signals only when you are sure
of their effects.
If you enable or block Forcing globally, all signal states set
·
by Forcing will become effective or ineffective immedi
ately. Make sure that your machine/system is in a state
which permits this without any danger.
Depending on the field bus system used, all parameters
·
can also be modified via the field bus, e.g. by the field bus
master. In order to avoid undesired signal status modifi
cations as a result of incorrect operation, you should first
create a clear starting status for the Forcing (see also sec
tion 4.6.2).
