Data Format of Measuring Values
The measuring value is made up of 4 consecutive bytes:
MSB
Bit 1
Bit 2
1. Byte
1 (Start) Channel number ( 0 ... 3 ) Vz-Bit MSB
2. Byte
0
3. Byte
0
4. Byte
0
Vz-Bit: (0 = positive numbers, 1 = negative numbers (differential signal only))
Negative numbers are displayed in two's complement.
Scaling of the measurements:
0x000000 = 0 % full scale output
0xFFFFFF = 100 % full scale output
Channel number:
- 0: Differential signal = eddy current - capacitive signal
- 1: Capacitive signal
- 2: Eddy current signal
- 3: Sensor temperature signal,
not scaled,
approximation: 950000 = appr. 10 °C; 1050000 = appr. 60 °C
By default, the measured values are continuously output at the set data rate. There is also a
trigger mode where the individual measurements can be polled.

Settings
Sample rate:
Sampling rates from 1040 Hz, 520 Hz, 104 Hz and 26 Hz are selectable. The smaller the
sampling rate, the better the resolution of the system (small signal noise). It decreases, how-
ever, the bandwidth of the system and also affects the analog outputs.
Operating modes:
- Continuous transmission with fixed data rate.
- Trigger mode (no effect on analog outputs)
Moving average:
Averaging of 2 up to 4 measurements, effects the analog outputs also.
Channel selection:
Only selected channels will be transmitted; no effect on analog outputs.
