Installing the USB driver

Before connecting your camcorder to your
computer, install the USB driver on the
computer. The USB driver is packaged together
with application software for viewing images on
the CD-ROM supplied with your camcorder.
Start the following operation without
connecting the USB cable to your
computer.
Connect the USB cable in step 8.
If the USB driver has been registered
incorrectly because your computer was
connected to your camcorder before
installation of the USB driver was complete,
reinstall the USB driver following the
procedure on page 119.
For Windows 98SE, Windows Me, Windows
2000 Professional, Windows XP users
If you are using Windows 2000 Professional or
Windows XP, log in with permission of
administrator.
(1) Turn on your computer and allow Windows
to load.
(2) Insert the supplied CD-ROM into the CD-
ROM drive of your computer. The application
software screen appears.
(3) Move the cursor to "USB Driver" and click.
This starts USB driver installation.

Het USB stuurprogramma
installeren
Alvorens u de camcorder aansluit op uw
personal computer, zult u eerst het USB
stuurprogramma moeten installeren op uw
computer. Het USB stuurprogramma is
bijgeleverd, samen met een toepassingsprogram-
ma voor het weergeven van de beelden, op de
CD-ROM die bij uw camcorder is meegeleverd.
Volg de onderstaande aanwijzingen,
zonder dat de USB-kabel op uw computer
is aangesloten.
De USB-kabel mag pas worden
aangesloten in stap 8.
Als het USB stuurprogramma niet juist
geïnstalleerd is, omdat de camcorder al op uw
computer werd aangesloten voordat de
installatie van het USB stuurprogramma
helemaal voltooid was, zult u het USB
stuurprogramma opnieuw moeten installeren
volgens de aanwijzingen op blz. 119.
Voorbeeld: voor gebruikers van Windows 98
Tweede editie, Windows 2000 Professional of
Windows XP
Bij Windows 2000 Professional of Windows XP
meldt u zich eerst aan met de privileges van
beheerder.
(1) Schakel uw computer in zodat Windows
gestart wordt.
(2) Plaats de bijgeleverde CD-ROM in het CD-
ROM station van uw personal computer. Het
openingsscherm van het
toepassingsprogramma verschijnt.
(3) Plaats de cursor op de regel "USB Driver" en
klik daarop. Dan start de installatie van het
USB stuurprogramma.
