"Memory Stick"s on your
computer
Note
You cannot install the USB driver if a "Memory
Stick" is not in your camcorder.
Be sure to insert a "Memory Stick" into your
camcorder before installing the USB driver.
If you cannot install the USB driver
The USB driver has been registered incorrectly as
your computer was connected to your camcorder
before installation of the USB driver was
completed. Perform the following procedure to
correctly install the USB driver.
Step1: Uninstall the incorrect USB driver
1 Turn on your computer and allow Windows
to load.
2 Insert a "Memory Stick" into your camcorder.
3 Connect the AC power adaptor, and set the
POWER switch to MEMORY.
4 Connect the USB connector on your computer
to the (USB) jack on your camcorder using
the USB cable supplied with your camcorder.
5 Open your computer's "Device Manager".
Windows 2000 Professional:
Select "My Computer" t "Control Panel" t
"Hardware" tab, and click the "Device
Manager" button.
Other OS:
Select "My Computer" t "Control Panel" t
"System", and click "Device Manager".
6 Select "Other devices".
Select the device prefixed with the "?" mark
and delete.
Ex: (?)Sony Camcorder
7 Turn the POWER switch to OFF (CHG), and
then disconnect the USB cable.
8 Restart your computer.
Step2: Install the USB driver on the CD-ROM
Perform the entire procedure described in
"Installing the USB driver" on page 195.

Opmerking
U kunt het USB stuurprogramma niet installeren
zolang er geen "Memory Stick" in uw camcorder
aanwezig is.
Plaats eerst een "Memory Stick" in uw
camcorder alvorens u het USB stuurprogramma
gaat installeren.
Als het installeren van het USB
stuurprogramma niet lukt
Wellicht is het USB stuurprogramma niet juist
geregistreerd, omdat uw computer werd
aangesloten op de camcorder voordat de
installatie van het USB stuurprogramma was
voltooid. Volg de onderstaande aanwijzingen om
het USB stuurprogramma naar behoren te
installeren.
Stap 1: Verwijder het onjuist geïnstalleerde
USB stuurprogramma
1 Zet uw computer aan en wacht tot Windows
is gestart.
2 Plaats een "Memory Stick" in uw camcorder.
3 Sluit de netspanningsadapter aan en zet de
POWER schakelaar in de "MEMORY" stand.
4 Verbind de USB-aansluitbus van uw
computer met de
camcorder met behulp van de USB-kabel die
bij uw camcorder is meegeleverd.
5 Open het "Apparaatbeheer" venster van uw
computer.
Windows 2000 Professional:
Stel in op "Deze Computer" t
"Configuratiescherm" t "Hardware"
tabblad en klik op de "Apparaatbeheer" knop.
Ander besturingssysteem:
Stel in op "Deze Computer" t
"Configuratiescherm" t "Systeem" en klik
op "Apparaatbeheer".
6 Stel in op "Andere apparatuur".
Stel in op het apparaat met een "?"
vraagteken er voor en verwijder dit apparaat.
Bijv.: (?)Sony Camcorder
7 Zet de POWER schakelaar van de camcorder
op "OFF (CHG)" en maak de USB-kabel los.
8 Start uw computer opnieuw op.
Stap 2: Installeer het USB stuurprogramma
van de CD-ROM
Volg alle aanwijzingen onder "Het USB
stuurprogramma installeren" op blz. 195.
(USB) aansluitbus van uw
197
