Description
This command allows you to define how applications (SNMPtrap, TFTP, FTPclient, Radius,
ping, traceroute, and others) that generate unsolicited message set the source IP address.
When set to interface: the source-IP address will always be set to the interface address of the
interface used to send the IP message.
When set to system: the source-IP address will be set to the system IP address, except when
not configured or when the destination IP of the message lies within the subnet of an interface
(in this case, the interface address is used)
When to set loopback: the source IP address will be set to the configured loopback interface
primary IP address. In case of loopback interface is operationally down, then the system
interface address will be used. If the system interface is also operationally down, then the
interface address of the outgoing interface will be used.
The no form of the command: the source IP address will be set to the system IP address,
except when not configured or when the destination IP address of the message lies within the
subnet of an interface (in this case, the interface address is used).
Parameters
interface - use the interface address
system - use the system address when the host is not directly reachable else use the interface
address
