the light unit
5.32 Release the spring clip and withdraw
the foglight bulb from the light unit
Front foglight
31 Reach up under the front bumper, twist
the cover and free it from the foglight unit (see
illustration).
32 Release the spring clip and withdraw the
foglight bulb from the light unit (see illustration).
33 Disconnect the wiring connector and
remove the bulb (see illustration).
34 When handling the new bulb, use a tissue
or clean cloth to avoid touching the glass with
the fingers; moisture and grease from the skin
can cause blackening and rapid failure of this
type of bulb.
35 Connect the wiring connector to the new
bulb.
36 Insert the new bulb, making sure it is
correctly located, and secure it in position
with the spring clip.
37 Refit the cover to the rear of the unit.
Rear light cluster
38 Push the locking tabs forward and
remove the access cover from the luggage
compartment trim panel (see illustration).
39 If working on the right-hand side, remove
the tyre repair kit and the foam mounting box.
If working on the left-hand side, take off the
luggage compartment bracket and cover.
40 Using a small screwdriver, release the
sealing grommet from the top of the light
cluster {see illustration).
5.29c Pull the capless bulb from the
bulbholder
5.33 Disconnect the wiring connector and
remove the bulb
41 Reach in through the trim panel opening
and slacken the two light cluster plastic
retaining nuts.
42 Hold the light cluster from the outside
and unscrew the plastic nuts by hand the rest
of the way. Withdraw the light cluster from

5.31 Twist the cover and free it from the
foglight unit

43 Depress the two locking tabs on the
side of the bulbholder and withdraw the
bulbholder from the light cluster (see illus-
tration).
