Engine Oil Level Check

C heck e n g ine oil level at re g u la r in ­
tervals, a fte r re fu e lin g , w ith the en­
g in e at o p e ra tin g te m p e ra tu re and
s h u t off.
The ve h icle sh o u ld be
parked on level g ro u n d
and the oil level m ust be
som ew here betw een the
lo w e r and the u pper m ark
on d ip s tic k (1); do not add
in excess o f the u p per
m ark.
W ipe d ip s tic k be fore any oil level
m easurem ent. To de te rm in e the oil
level, ch eck b oth sides o f the d ip ­
stick. Alw ays d ete rm in e the oil level
by means o f th e s tra ig h t h o rizonta l
m a rkin g fo rm e d by the oil on one
side of the d ip stick.
