Seat Belts

W arning system :
The in d ic a to r is illu m in a te d fo r 4 - 8
seconds after tu rn in g the steering
lo c k key to p o sitio n 2. If the seat
belt of the d riv e r's seat is not fas­
tened a w a rn in g buzzer sounds
sim ulta neo usly.

Fastening:
• Pull b e lt w ith latch plate (1) over
s h o u ld e r and lap. The be lt m ust
n ot be tw isted.
• Press latch plate (1) in to buckle
(2) and a llo w to engage audibly.
• The belt m ust be tig h t and m ust
be ch e cke d fo r tig h tn e ss im ­
m ediately a fte r fa ste n in g and
re g u la rly d u rin g the trip . If re­
q u ire d , tig h te n lap be lt by p u l­
lin g up on the up p e r belt sec­
tio n .
U n fa sten in g :
• D epress red b u tto n (3) in buckle.
• R eturn latch plate (1) to initial
p o sitio n .
O pe ration :
The seat belt in e rtia reel stops the
belt fro m u n w in d in g fu rth e r in case
o f v e h ic le d e ce le ra tio n in any d ire c ­
tio n o r if th e belt is p ulled out
q u ic k ly .
F u n ctio n a l test:
The lo c k in g fu n c tio n o f the inertia
reel can be tested by p u llin g the
belt o u t q u ickly.
