N ote:
Repeated pressing o f e ith e r the
bass o r tre b le c o n tro l w ill cause the
respective to n e c o n tro l to a lternate
betw een an in cre a sin g and decreas­
ing setting.
To select AM or FM
Press any o f the b u tto n s m arked

the FM band.
Press any o f th e b u tto n s m arked
EZ3
th ro u g h U Q to tu n e the ra d io to
the AM band.
To tune to a station
S ta tio n s can be tu n e d in by using
a u to m a tic search, d ire c t fre q u e n cy
d ia lin g , m anual tu n in g , o r by preset
push b utton s. The fre q u e n cy o f the
s ta tio n selected is displayed d ig ita l­
ly on the disp la y panel.

By p re ssin g the a u to m a tic station
seeker bar
upw ard the
ra d io w ill search fo r sta tio n s in as­
ce n d in g fre qu encie s, by pressing
d o w n in d e sce n d in g frequen cie s.
T he d ire c tio n o f a u to m a tic search­
ing can be reversed by pressing the
Tin the respective d i­
re ctio n . In o rd e r to arrive at a de­
sired sta tio n faster, the bar has to
be held dow n in the desired d ire c ­
tio n .
The ra d io is p rogra m m e d to a u to ­
m a tic a lly search the e n tire band in
three s e n sitivity m odes. D urin g its
firs t sweep, o n ly the m ost p o w e rfu l
sta tio n s received w ill be selected
and locke d in. D uring the next
sweep, th e less p o w e rfu l and d u rin g
the th ird cycle, also th e w eak sta­
tio n s w ill be lo cked in.
If the sta tio n seeker bar is activated
w ith in 8 seconds, a fte r the radio is
tu n e d to a station, then the search
o p e ra tio n w ill be c o n tin u e d at the
sam e se n s itivity level. If 8 seconds
are exceeded, the ra dio w ill revert
to se a rch in g o n ly the m ost p ow erful
stations.
