Adjustment of D river's S eat and
Front P assenger's Seat
M anual:
Fore/aft a d justm e nt: lift handle (1);
slide seat to desired p o sitio n and
allo w handle to re-engage.
H eight o f seat: raise lever (2);
to raise seat, slide seat fo rw a rd ;
to lo w e r seat, slide seat backw ard;
allo w lever to re-engage.
Seat back p o sitio n : tu rn handw heel
(3). For fu ll re c lin in g o f backrest,
seat sh o u ld be m oved to one o f the
fo rw a rd -m o s t p o s itio n s and head
restra in t rem oved. For drivin g ,
return backrest to u p rig h t p o sitio n
and push seat back. R eplace head
restraint.
Power:
T urn key in ste erin g lo c k to p o si­
tio n 2.
Seat and seat b a ck can be adjusted
in d iv id u a lly by means o f the
sw itches. These are a cco m m od ated
in the fro n t doors.
W hen the key is w ith d ra w n or
tu rn e d to ste e rin g lo c k p o s itio n s
1 o r 0, seat and seat b ack can be
ad justed o n ly if the d riv e r's d o o r is
open, to a llo w fo r easier e n try to
and e xit fro m the vehicle.
Note:
P rio r to o p e ra tin g the vehicle, the
d riv e r sh o u ld a d ju st the seat height
fo r p ro p e r visio n as w ell as fore /aft
p la ce m en t and seat back angle to
insure adequate c o n tro l, reach, op ­
era tio n , and c o m fo rt. Be certain
seat is " locked in " by s lid in g fro n t/
rear u n til fu ll enga gem e nt is as­
sured.
The head re stra in t sh o u ld also be
adjusted fo r p ro p e r h e ig h t so that
w hen th e cu sh io n is tip p e d com ­
pletely fo rw a rd , it sh o u ld fo rm a
cradle be hind the seat o c c u p a n t's
head. B oth the inside and o utside
rear view m irro rs sh o u ld then be ad­
ju ste d fo r adequate rearw ard vision.
Fasten seat belts. C h ild re n under
the age o f six o r u nd er the w e ig h t of
23 kg/50 lb sh o u ld be seated in the
ba ck seat w ith an approved re­
s tra in t system p ro p e rly secured.
All seat, head restraint, and rear
view m irro r a djustm ents as w ell as
fa ste n in g o f seat belts sh o u ld be ac­
co m p lish e d before the vehicle is put
in to m otion.
