Cruise Control

Any given speed above a p p ro x i­
m ately 40 km /h/25 m ph can be
m aintained w ith the cru ise co n tro l
by o p e ra tin g the sw itch .

D ecelerating (hold sw itch )
N orm ally the veh icle is accelerated
to the desired speed w ith the ac­
ce le ra to r. Speed is set by b rie fly
p u sh in g the sw itc h to p o s itio n 1
o r 2, and th e a cc e le ra to r can be re­
leased.
The speed can be increased (e.g.
fo r passing) by using th e acce­
lerator. As soon as the a cce le ra to r
is released, the p re vio u sly set speed
w ill be resum ed a uto m a tica lly.
If a set speed is to be increased o r
decreased s lig h tly , e.g. to adapt to
the tra ffic flo w , retain sw itch in po s­

itio n 1 o r 2 u n til th e desired speed
is reached. W hen the sw itch is re­
leased, the new ly set speed re­
mains.

C a n ce llin g
To cancel the cru ise c o n tro l,
b rie fly push lever to p o s itio n 3.
The cru ise c o n tro l w ill also be
ca n ce lle d if the brake o r clu tc h
pedal is a ctu a ted o r if the ve h i­
cle speed d ro p s below 40 km /h/
25 mph.

Resume
If the lever is b rie fly pushed to
p o s itio n 4 w hen d riv in g at a
speed e xcee d in g a p p ro xim a te ly
40 km /h/25 m ph, th a t speed is
resum ed w h ic h was set p rio r to
the c a n c e lla tio n o f the cruise
c o n tro l. The last m em orized
speed is ca n celle d w hen the key
in the stee rin g lo ck is tu rn e d to
p o s itio n 1 o r 0.
Im p o rta n t:
O nly use the c ru ise c o n tro l if the
tra ffic c o n d itio n s make it advisable
to travel at a steady speed.
P o sitio n " R esum e" sh o u ld be en­
gaged o n ly if th e d riv e r is fu lly
aw are o f th e pre vio u sly set speed
and w ishes to resum e th is p a rtic u la r
preset speed.
In the case of m anual tra n sm issio n s
the ve h icle m axim um speed in the
in d iv id u a l gears sh o u ld not be ex­
ceeded. See line m a rkin g s on the
speedom eter. In the case of au to ­
m a tic tra n s m is s io n s th e se le cto r
lever m ust n o t be sh ifte d to p osition
" N " w hen d riv in g w ith the cruise
c o n tro l engaged as o th e rw ise the
en g in e w ill overrev.
